On Saturday, March 28, 2020, DHS Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Agency (CISA) released
updated Guidance on Essential Critical Infrastructure Workforce. Previously, we had sent you the first two
versions which contained relevant information under the “Critical Manufacturing” section. The third
version, released last Saturday, includes additions that may also pertain to FAMA and FEMSA members
under the category of Law Enforcement, Public Safety and Other First Responders. Specifically the
language reads, in part:
- Workers – including contracted vendors — who maintain, manufacture, or supply equipment and
services supporting law enforcement emergency service and response operations (to include
electronic security and life safety security personnel). - Workers supporting the manufacturing of safety equipment and uniforms for law enforcement,
public safety personnel, and first responders.
