We must remain vigilant in educating Congress on the increasing importance of funding of the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) and SAFER programs that support the Fire Service.

 The Hill Day event is important for FAMA and FEMSA to show support for programs that help first responders. It gives them the opportunity to encourage congressional officers to increase funding for the Assistance to Firefighters. For the Governmental Affairs Committee, it is important to be aware of changes and create relationships within the fire industry.
